TYPE OF THE RACE

• Trail running with dog – NO obstacles
• Individual race, one person with one dog

 

COURSE

• Distance: 8-11 km
• Terrain: not too difficult, hilly, but no high elevation
• Course map will be published after the race

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

• 100 person + dog

START TIMES

• We ask our competitors to definitely think about which race type they register for, because it is not possible to switch race types later (e.g. in case of injury).
• Start: between 10:30 and 11:30 depending on the total number of participants – the participating owners and their dogs start one by two, a maximum of 2-6 owner-dog pairs start in one minute, so the continuous flow on the course is ensured.
• Start times: it is not possible to enter a specific time, the start times are determined depending on the number of participants; we provide a choice regarding the speed of progress, this is necessary so that the faster competitors do not run into the slower ones, as this can be unpleasant for everyone; you can choose from the following tempos when you register – we ask that you absolutely choose the option that corresponds to the tempos:
  • we are moving fast
  • we move at a medium pace
  • we are moving slowly
• the participants will be invited to the start zone one by one, the exact start times will be published after the online registration closes, during the week of the competition;
• the advantage of the start is that a start photo is taken of everyone, which can be downloaded free of charge after the event.

AWARD CEREMONY

• At the competition, the results will be announced among the bests
• Prize winners must bring a photo identification document to the ceremony – this is a criterion for receiving the prize!
• Prizes are awarded exclusively during the ceremony. We ask the athletes to honor the competition and the competitors with their personal presence, and to appear punctually at the award ceremony. Prize winners who do not participate in the ceremony will not be given or mailed a prize afterwards.

START PACKAGE PICK UP

• The condition of taking the start package is the presentation of the printed and signed waiver;
  Start packages will be available and can be picked up on Thursday in the race office at Budapest (address: 1134 Budapest, Tüzér street 9-11.), on Friday at the race center between 16 and 19 o’clock, and on the racedays.
• We advise for the participants not to leave the start package pick up for the last moment.
• Onsite registration and start package pick up closes 30 minutes before the start time.
• Onsite registration is only possible based on available slots and is payable in cash.
• We kindly ask our participants to arrive on time to avoid waiting in line.

 

TIMING
We use chip timing, the chip must be worn on your wrist during the race. Time results are available on the Runtiming.hu website during/after the race.
Attention! The chip must be handed in at the finish line! We charge additional fee for the device not returned!

CUT OFF TIME AND COURSE CLOSING TIME

• cut off time: none at this event;
• course closing time: at 13:30 – all participants must arrive at the finish line by this time.

MEDICAL SUPERVISION
There are medical staff at the race center, they help for racers into trouble at the whole race area during the event.

REGISTRATION

• Online registration is available until midnight on Sunday, October 6th / until reaching the maximum limit of participants!
• In case of incapacitation of racer, the registration can be transferred to another person for FREE – find details below.
• After the finished registration there is not possible to change heat time, to switch the registration to a different distance or location, and not allowed to change from Individual Race to Team Race, ect or vice versa.
• Onsite registration is only possible if there are available slots.
• Having your personal profile is indispensable for registration, which can be created by clicking here (if you don’t have it). It is important to save your name according to Hungarian spelling rules, that is LAST NAME first, FIRST NAME last.

• In case of incapacitation of racer, the registration can be transferred to another person for FREE until the race day!
• The process of the registration transfer is the following:
  • Before the race the original owner of the registration must manage this process online, because the registration needs to be moved from his/her profile to the new racer’s profile.
  • So the original owner needs to send in email to info@fightersrun.com with these data:
    • name of the event: “FIGHTERS’ RUN CSOPAK  DOG RACE”
    • the name and profile code of the original owner
    • the new owner’s name, profile code and t-shirt size – we can only guarantee the modified t-shirt size if it is in stock;
  • we can solve the online substitution until October 4th, in case of later submission the registration will be transferrred onsite;
  • Substitution process of the registration is FREE;
  • note: the transfer of the registration takes place between a second and a third party, we are unable to modify the invoice of the original entry.

REGISTRATION FEES

• The above deadlines indicate a payment deadline – we ask our participants to keep this in mind when making transfers!
• Entry fees can be viewed in the highlighted blocks named “BETA HEATS PRICES” and “ALPHA HEATS PRICES” at the top of the page.
• Amounts represent fee per person (HUF/person).
• Amounts are gross and in Hungarian forint.

ATTENTION!

• Registration becomes final to arrive of the payment; not paid registrations will be automatically deleted by the system after the deadline.
• We are unable to accept payment via postal checks. The registration fee sent by postal check, will be immediately refund by the bank.
• Registration fee must be paid in one payment.
• Invoice can only be issued for the name and address provided in the the registration; it is not possible to split or modify the invoice.
• Any separated fees received will be refund to the sender after deducting bank charges.

ETIQUETTE OF RUNNERS

• We are all guests during the event. It is essential to return the venue same cleanly at least as we received it.
• We kindly ask our participants to provide help if they see a runner in trouble, even if it means to loosing race time.
• We all are runners. We do not differentiate ourselves based on skin color, religion, age, or gender.
• It doesn’t matter where we come from, or how fast we run. Our love for the sport and the mutual respect for each other unites us.
• Staff do their best and provides encouragement. We ask the participants to show their appreciation with good mood and smile.
• True, this is a race, but the rules of fair play must always be kept in mind. Whether winning or losing, it is essential to compete with integrity, dignity, and by meeting both written and unwritten rules. This is what makes the experience unforgettable!
